Is this a decent gaming laptop?

Im looking to play gta 4 and battlefield 4 on at least low or medium. Also, maybe cod ghosts or gta 5 when they come out on low. BUT, I might pony up the extra $30 for the gt 750. Sure, but you want to have the 1080p screen. The GT740 should handle the newest game son low, maybe medium.

I would spend the extra $30 for the GT 750m.

It's cheaper to pony up now than to buy a better laptop later. Even if the GT 750m will only allow you to play games with that laptop at a certain minimum level that you consider acceptable for 1 extra year, that means you just postponed buying a new laptop. Postponing a purchase is a way of saving money.
