Is This A Decent Laptop For Some Gaming?

Hi there, I am looking at getting a mid range gaming laptop to use when I'm on my travels as I'm away from home quite a bit and want to spend no more than 500 really as I already have a great PC at home, just need something that will do a job while I'm away..

I have found these two laptops that look decent..

The top one is a little over budget but if the i7 will give me a better performance I don't mind paying a little more.

Medium settings on games such as GTA V and BF3-4 will do nicely.

What do you guys think?
