I'm trying to configure a good gaming laptop for games like GTA 5, GMod, Call of Duty, and games like that, would this be sufficient for this?

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4710MQ Mobile Processor 2.50 GHz 6M Smart Cache, Max Turbo Freq. 3.50 GHz

HDD: 1 TB 7200RPM SATA300 Hard Drive

RAM: 8GB (8GBx1) DDR3-1600 SODIMM Memory (Corsair or Major Brand)

MOTHERBOARD: Mobile Intel HM87 Express Chipset Mainboard

SOUND: Supreme HD Audio w/ THX True Studio Pro Technology

VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 2GB PCIe (NB-FANG-510)

I don't have a whole lot of money so I was able to configure all of this for like $875 which is a lot but its the cheapest I could get for a laptop.

Solution
For gaming purposes you will not need more than 8GB of RAM. Having 16GB of RAM may sound great, but it will not improve game performance.
It is pretty good for the price. The GTX 860m is a considered to be a good performance graphics chip. Just keep in mind that graphics chips used in laptops are weaker than desktop GPUs. Compared to a desktop GPU it is like a mainstream GPU.

That is a pretty good rig you have. I would try and get 16 gigs of ram if you can as this will further future proof you machine without getting a new gpu.
