Or should i build a gaming HTPC for the money as i don't have available space for the desktop setup in my room??

A HTPC type PC would have quite a bit more gaming performance for the same amount of money. Any $80 desktop graphics card would have about twice the gaming performance.

It is a decent option for the money, and for what you need it for. However, what is your maximum budget? You may be able to fit a better GPU and a better display within your budget.
