Is this a good laptop?

I'm looking to buy this laptop, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834231358 .

I will be using this laptop for school work mainly and some tv watching such as netflix, not much if any gaming at all really.

Also is there anything else in this price range on newegg only pref that is better? Thanks in advance.

It's a great computer only problem is it's refurbished and only has 90 days warranty.
Just consider that.

I was looking at that one as well but noticed it has a Bilingual Keyboard, guessing it has a different layout which could be a big problem? Also it doesn't appear to be touch screen which is a nice feature to have with the windows 8. Thanks for the reply =)

Yes I was looking at that and figured I'd buy the one year warranty for the extra 55 bucks, other then that would this be a good laptop for college work?

Its performance would be faster than the i5 one. but for touch and other requirements you can go with the i5
