Is this alright for low end gaming?

Hi, I might be purchasing this laptop, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AZL0M34/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A39QOQB63SPG0D would this be ok for medium settings on most games? I will be playing games like minecraft and maybe if I could possibly play BF3 on low to medium settings. I am just asking because I am not that well versed with laptop parts thanks a lot!

it will game alright... though if you are looking for an affordable gaming laptop i suggest you look at an a10 part. those run in the 400-600 range depending. as long as it isn't a 1080p monitor an a10 will game anything you can throw at it.

I know this isn't an a10 but this a8 is about the same price do you think I should get this instead?

there you go. enjoy! i know a few people with that laptop. the battery life is out of this world. if you can afford to i suggest you get an ssd (it has an extra hard drive bay for a 2nd hard drive) as the hard drive is by far and away the slowest part of that laptop.
