Is VR playable with GTX 1050 2GB VRAM?

I've been wanting to get the Oculus Rift for some time now and I checked the system requirements for it and it says that I need 4GB VRAM. Right now I have only got 2GB VRAM. My question is if it still would be possible to play VR despite my VRAM?



Also my specs are
CPU - Intel i7 7700k
GPU - GTX 1050 2GB VRAM
Memory - 16GB RAM
