is windows 10 worth downloading?

Solution
As stated in the video, it is the final version of the Windows 10. People who participated in the Windows Insiders Program got to use the final build version of Windows 10. The only difference between that version and the version that will be released on July 29th would be driver and security updates. The Windows 10 features / functions are locked and will not be updated.
You can get them for free if you have genuine windows 8.1 or 7.

Yes. They pretty much are the next big thing on windows platform. You should download them.

All registered users of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 will be eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 10 when it's released at some point in August. There is no need to download anything now, but you can "reserve" your download by accepting the Microsoft invitation. The availability of the "preview" builds has ended, so that's not an option.

"Microsoft" sent you an email?
Did you Reserve from a current Windows 7 or 8.1? If you did not, then you did not get an email from Microsoft.

Free is only if you are upgrading from an existing Win 7 or 8.1 install.

Preorder? Yes, if you buy it. It is not free in that circumstance.

^^^Yeah, Microsoft didn't send you anything unless you already responded to the notification in your taskbar about the upgrade. If it was an email and you didn't already reserve your upgrade, then it's something else. Likely a scam.

More than likely you'll get a Windows update notification that Windows 10 is ready for installation, similar to the previous notification to reserve it.

Here's a review of the final version of Windows 10. It will be available to everyone on July 29th.

You do not have to download it immediately when it is released. You can always wait to find out what people think about it after several weeks. You can always install whatever OS you are currently using if you do not like Win 10. You can use a program like Macrium Reflect Free to create an image of your C: Drive so that you can restore your old OS and installed programs.

that video is laughable. just because they removed the watermark from the latest build doesn't mean it is. the review may end up missing a feature they didn't cover
