Is Windows Defender good enough?

I have a windows 10, and before i had avas antivirus, or smth like that. I've uninstalled avas since like 1 year (that i got windows 10) and now, i was wondering if Windows Defender is good enough? I'm doing a full scan right now btw

personally im happier with having a free antivirus on top of it. its no more hassle beyond installing it, and even though im perfectly internet literate and know what a dangerous link or wesite looks like, thing happen to everyone. i've had issues in years before that were a LOT of work to fix, and i'd rather avoid that again.

I wouldn't rely solely on Windows Defender, not on any Windows version. It's "better than nothing" but that's hardly a good recommendation for any product.

I always have & always will use third-party security software, and that includes a firewall, not just AV.

I have found it perfectly adequate since Win 8.1

i mean, i don't go on shady websites and use them (like the piratebay or porn sites). So i guess, windows defender is good enough for me

Windows defender hasn't passed certification in years , better off with FREE product.
