Issue with Video Memory

Hi, I've been using an Acer Laptop for about a year now and it's been running fine for the past while. Ever since today, I tried to run a game (Rainbow Six Siege) and I noticed it lagged horrifically to the point of where I couldn't even play. I run most games on low or medium and optimize them all but ever since now I couldn't run Rainbow at all, I did notice that I had a very small amount of video memory left while I was in siege being only 122mb out of 1268mb. I've gone to BIOS to see that I wasn't able to change it, as well removing a bunch of games that may have been related to the issue

you can't change how much vram there is, it hardware.

So I'm stuck with the game lagging now without being able to fix it ? Is there any work around at all or that's it?
