issues with camera

I have a Toshiba Satellite C885D laptop and my webcame worse working good until like 6 to 9 months ago and then I tried going on skype one day and i got the blue light but a black screen. I a have went onto toshiba and there are NO drives I can download off their site. We just moved to another state from our families and they would really like to see our kids on hangouts and my laptop would be the best way to do it. please please please help me get it up and running. I have been trying to work on it for months. Thanks

Perhaps you could simply get a standalone web cam?
You can buy ones that clip to the top of your screen, they're pretty cheap these days
Might be simpler than trying to figure out why the built in camera has stopped working.

if its physically not working then drivers wont help it

as said could get a separate webcam

or replace the toshiba one probably cost you around $10 on ebay for it
