The PS2 is still very popular in Latin America, where the PS3 (both the console and the game) is extremely expensive. And the PS2 has some amazing games available. Hi tech is not necessary to have fun: Ask the "mutated GameCube with a wireless controller" called Wii about it.

In February, they sold 131,000 units just in the U.S.

HAHAHA. I've got an old 286 computer from 1990 that I'll discount - half price off the original price of $1249.99. $625 for a 286 12 MHZ computer with a 40 MEGAbyte hard drive. Anybody????

Dude, I'm one of the few holdouts on the PS2 (I hate consoles in general - I think they're for idiots and the games made for them are for idiots.) And I don't care if you discount them to $29, I wouldn't buy it. None of the games hold any appeal to me. I have a water cooled quad core with a 4850 Radeon card. What games on the PS2 would I actually want to play in place of cutting edge PC games?
