50mile hdtv tuner... haha LOL. that is vendor's speak to sell you stuff, this product is capable of blah-blah what they don't tell you is "util you add this piece, and purchase that piece and..."

So... if your broadcast tower is really 50 miles away, you may need an attic or roof-top antenna to complete the trick.

You did run a channel scan? TV won't pick up any stations until your do.
You can try moving the antenna around if it is directional.
And yeah the specs are bull. Check with

for some useful info. If any neighbors use an antenna they can steer you towards on that works.
