JBL Bass 2 Active Subwoofer System

I just purchased this JBL Bass 2 Subwoofer Tower. In reading the Manual, Am I to understand that the green light doesn't come on until I have something plugged into it? (And yes I've plugged the JBL Bass 2 in by itself, but it doesn't light up) Thanks people...

"something to it" sounds like to me they are talking about an audio source.

Why is the light so important? Just plug it in, fire it up, if sounds, yer done.

The amp in the sub will detect audio input and turn itself on. After a set amount of delay time without a signal it will turn itself off. This avoids it going on and off during use without you having to manually turn it off and on.
