Solved! keep laptop screen recognized

Hi,
is there a way to keep laptop screen recognized on windows 10 even when the lid is closed?

i am using an external monitor and every time I close and open the screen it's kind of buggy and messing up my desktop apps.
(i know how to set the "do nothing" in the power plan)

If the resolutions are different between the two screens and you have a bunch of icons on the desktop, when the primary monitor is swapped, the icons will end up being arranged differently.
