Keyboard problems ...

My keyboard commands are messed up.Like the lower brightness and increase brightness it doesn't do that all it does is inspect the element. I have a laptop with no number keyboard , so why do I have the desktop settings??

See weather you laptop has a setting for it's keyboard. Like with an Lenovo laptop you can make the F1-F12 as a standard keys and to a Multimedia key where you press fn + F1-F12 where they have specific functions.
