Keyboard will not function PRO 12

I have a PRO 12 tablet w magnalink keyboard. Two days old. Keyboard and touch pad not functioning. Any suggestions? I'm beyond frustrated!!

If it is brand new and not working. Take it back and get them to exchange it.
