Kindle fire and nook color

is the nook color the equivalent to the kindle fire in the sense that u can browse the web etc?

The Nook Color has built-in wireless like a laptop, so provided you have a wireless router at home with broadband access, or you are close enough to a wireless "hotspot" when out and about, you can use the Nook Color to visit websites.
