Kindle scratch on case under warranty?

Hi,

I bought a kindle paperwhite for my holiday, and after visiting the beach a scratch has appeared on it, underneath the screen. I was wondering whether anyone knows if scratches are covered in the limited 1 year warranty that amazon offer.

you can try calming the warranty but usually physical damages dont come under warranty....but give it a try if u are lucky then they may accept the product...
