Kodi exodus issues

Ive used kodi for over a year, and but on occasion, had to reinstall it, now, I cant even begin to get exodus (or any other media source, it either says "cant connect to server" or lets me add the source but then when I go to install from zip or repo it litterally does nothing. Can anyone help? Thanks

When using KODI and I am attempting to down load a movie or TV show, using any of the add-ons the wheel just turns for a few seconds and then the screen reverts back to my item choice.
I have had the box for over a year and it worked fine, It has only been in the last two weeks that this difficulty has appeared. I have striped the box and started from scratch several time without success. Any help would be appreciated.
