Laptop and leds wont turn on.

So i have a cheap laptop, its a satellite c55d-a5304. The laptop will not turn on and the leds wont turn on even after plugging it in, Im guessing its complety fried but it doesnt really make sense because i left the laptop in my backpack for a day or two in my room and didnt touch it or drop it or spill anything on it. Ive tried removing the battery and then plugging it and ive tried benching it and both times it didnt work.

remove the battery, disconnect the power adapter from laptop, hold the power button down for a 20 count, re-install the batter, reconnect the power adapter & turn on the laptop.

I did but did not know if you held down the power button or not.
