Laptop battery cell change

My Lenovo laptop battery got damaged and doesn't hold charge, I have a spare dell battery, saw online that I can change the cells of batteries, what I'm not sure about is if I can change the cell of a levono battery with that of a dell battery without causing any damage and if it is going to work perfectly?

Just replace the full battery, there is no way to know if you can change the cells without opening the batteries and seeing if they will match. If you are not using that Dell battery, sell it and use the money for the battery you need.
