Well i saw much topics with this problem but couldn't find solution.
i tried replace my Dell studio 1555 hardrive with other one but it seems bios can't detect it, and when i put old one it works fine.
i noticed one thing that working HHD is SATA II type and other one is III maybe that's the problem?

yes, i always use it and recently it was installed to other pc with windows working perfectly

I had this exact issue where the hard drive that came with the laptop stopped being visible in the BIOS but it would see another drive fine. The original drive also worked fine in another laptop. I never figured out why.

Some mysteries in life we'll never find out.

Nothing you can do though, BIOS is boss, it doesn't recognize it, it doesn't. Nothing anybody can do.

i just tested 1 more hardrive and it seems only that one doesn't work but when i connect it to pc via external cable it works fine

That's what happened to me. I just ended up using the working drive in the laptop and used the other one elsewhere.
