Laptop charger isnt working

I have a HP laptop. I got it as a gift and it was working fine until a couple days ago my charger started getting all wierd. Im usually able to fix it by messing with the cord but now it stopped working completley. HELP

You'll probably need to replace the charger. It sounds like there isn't continuity somewhere in the cable. Worst case scenario is the DC jack is the problem; your best bet to be sure is to plug in a spare adapter or have someone test with a spare, compatible adapter, and if it works, there you go.

take the battery out and try running just on the charger, if that doesn't work you know it's the charger instead(or I guess the outlet is a possiblity but I doubt it) if so just replace the charger? If you have to mess with the cord something is wrong.
