Laptop Crashes When Performing Any Task

When I turn on my laptop, it boots correctly and gets started. But as soon as I start performing any task the whole processor gets crashed as if some one hold on to the power key and it gets the whole system off. Then I have to start the laptop again and the same thing happen. Crashes
I recently installed windows 10, earlier it was windows 8 after a clean format to "C" drive. I can't perform a single task. It gets on until you perform any task. If you connect anything to USB port then too it will get crashed. Laptop: HP Pavilion.

Try loading it in "Safe Mode" and see if you still get the same issues. If you don't, then there is something on the computer that is the cause of this (software not hardware). If it still occurs, then I would start looking at hardware.

How to enter "Safe Mode" when booting the computer.

In Windows 8 and 10...

As your computer restarts, press F8 (possibly a few times) to enter "Safe Mode"

a. Press the "F4" key to Enable "Safe Mode".
(The computer will then start in "Safe Mode" with a minimal set of drivers and services.)

b. Press the "F5" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Networking.
( Once "Safe Mode" with Networking starts, Windows is in Safe Mode, with additional network and services for accessing the Internet and other computers on your network.)

c. Press the "F6" key to Enable "Safe Mode" with Command Prompt.
(In "Safe Mode" with "Command Prompt" starts Windows in Safe Mode, with a Command Prompt window instead of the Windows interface. This option is mostly only used by IT professionals.)

Now sign in to the computer with your account name and password. (If you have one set.) When you are finished troubleshooting, you can exit "Safe Mode" restarting your computer.


In Windows 7/Vista/XP...

1. Immediately after turning on the computer, or restarting it (usually after you hear your computer beep), tap the F8 key, repeatedly, in 1 second intervals.

2. The computer will then display hardware information and run a memory test.

3. Next the "Advanced Boot Options" menu will appear.

4. In the "Advanced Boot Options" menu use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking" and press ENTER.

Yeah! It worked well in safe mode with minimal set drivers, networking, and command promt but what should I do to my software to accomplish this error, I re-installed windows many times but the error doesn't goes off

If it works fine in "Safe Mode" then something is running on the device that is causing the problem. You are going to need to determine what is running when not in "Safe Mode" that isn't running when in it. Then it is a bit of trial and error to figure out what is the cause.

Unless HP has all W10 certified drivers for this particular model, I wouldn't do W10.

I am trying my best to encounter the error causing it but whenever I try to perform any task without safe mode it just crashes. Can't determine :-(
