Hey guys. I have a Toshiba Satellite A665D-S6059 Windows 7 Laptop. I was very excited to try out Windows 8.1. So I made an image of my recently installed Windows 8 and began the upgrade. Just as I was checking out the new features of Windows 8.1, it began to lock up very frequently so I wanted to go back to Windows 8 since it was workin there just fine. So after turning off my laptop and turning it back on, it wouldn't boot up to 8.1. Here's what I tried:
Formatted drive that Windows 8 was installed in
Re-install Windows 8 using USB thumbdrive that contains Windows 8
Use Windows 7 Toshiba Recovery Discs
all but no avail...
It wouldn't boot up to the thumbdrive and the disc!! It would just act like it is booting up to the device by showing a blank screen, but it would keep displaying the Toshiba splash screen that shows up when you turn on the laptop. I am very frustrated at the moment. My laptop has never done this before since the day I got it from my bro who originally owned it. So if anyone can help me figure out what's goin on with my Windows 7 laptop, that would be great! I would hate to throw it out since I don't have the money to get a new laptop/tablet!
