I recently bought an HDMI chord to connect my laptop to my tv. For a couple of days it worked perfectly. Yesterday I had the cpu connected and everything was working fine, but my computer couldn't connect to the wifi, which sometimes happens, so I restarted the computer, which usually fixes the problem. My computer connected to the wifi after restarting, however, it would no longer connect to the tv through the HDMI chord. My sister in laws computer works just fine when connected to either of my tvs, so it isn't the chord or the tvs right? Does anyone how to fix this I am at a loss.

Try hitting the windows key and P key. That's th projector mode and set to duplicate which should show both on computer screen and TV. Check device manager and see if the TV or HDMI is recognized.
