laptop doesn't start

I am fool. i open my battery in sleeping mood. After connect the battery the charging led are light up and down in plugging and without plugging AC adopter. Laptop doesn't start to ptress the power button.

Does the laptop turn on if you take out the battery and just leave the AC adapter plugged in ?
