Laptop doesn't turn on. Please help.

Hello everybody,
I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z500 that I bought back in 2013. It's a good machine that has been faithful right until this morning. Today it just wouldn't turn on at all.

At first I thought it was the battery. I plugged it in for about half hour and tried turning it on. It turned on but every 30 seconds or so the display would turn off and on. Now though it just won't turn on.

Please suggest anything of use. I depend heavily on the laptop. Right now I'm in the middle of exams and any help would be appreciated.

No warnings or anything from windows before this issue? It wasn't telling you to get a new battery? My first guess would be a bad battery, the laptop probably wont work at all even when plugged in if the battery is bad.

Other possibilities could be a bad power supply thats not charging your battery, or a component may have failed internally.

Does it work when it's plugged in? If not, can you remove the battery and try again?

Hello, the laptop doesn't turn on even when plugged in. The battery led lights up though and nothing else. Can't remove the battery as it's non removable.

I do have a hunch that the power delivery cable within the laptop has gone bad.
