Laptop error

I a toshiba L300 it fail to boot despite buying a new hard disk, what could be the problem (OS WIN 7)

the laptop fails to boot, but just blinking. i put the hdd on another machine (toshiba) and it installed successfully, but put back to the L300 it fails to boot.
