Recently, my laptop has been acting up. When I push the start button, it forst does a 10 second delay, then tge CPU fan doesn't go as high as a normal boot. It will stay on,but no display, the all the lights go out, but come back after awhile. I have a lot of experience working on computers, as i build a lot, but this is far out of my league. I believe it is the HDD, as i feel no movement, compared to my other laptop and desktop. Please post if you have any ideas.

Have you tried doing a power drain? remove the battery and AC cable off the Laptop then press and hold the power button for around 20 secs then plug the battery back in and turn it back on. If it turns back on with the display try running a SMART test for your HDD in BIOS.

So, that didnt work. What I ended up doing is just swapping the RAM's place, and I got a display. The hard drive is now clicking, which means I am going to take it to a data recovery center later this week to have them look at it.
