Laptop for College that can Game

I'm off to college this fall and I've decided that I will not be bringing a desktop as I'd like the portability of a laptop. I will also be using it for medium gaming and some photo work, in addition to school stuff. Budget wise, I would like to spend around $1600 give or take. The cheaper, the better, obviously. I'd like a screen around 15 inches with a 1080p screen. I don't really want a higher resolution, so that the battery will last a day with light use throughout (not all day gaming, but school stuff and internet use). I'd like at least 512 GB storage. Also, the laptop should look discrete, meaning it doesn't look like a gaming laptop. And the lighter, the better. I want this laptop to last my four years, so keep that in mind. Also, since I don't start until September, I have time to wait for any new models, too. Any ideas? Thanks!
