First, hello I'm new and seeking help. Hi!

Second, I'm looking for a new laptop as I will be going off to college soon. I'm looking for something that can be used for school as well as some gaming.

I want to be able to play games like Dragon Age Inquisition, Dark Souls, and Fallout 4 on medium/high settings. I would also like something with decent battery that can last a while when not gaming. I'm looking for a 14'-15' screen and something that weighs a reasonable amount, I don't really want to lug around a monster. I want something kind of portable. I also don't really care about the track pad since I'll likely use a mouse most of the time, but I would like some decent keys. Lastly, I'd prefer something with 1080p Resolution, I definitely don't need 4K seeing as I want the battery to last a while.

Is this possible to achieve with a budget of around $1000-$1500? There's some flexibility here, but this is about what I can spend at the moment.

If so, what do I get?

with this budget, you'll get to own the a nice spec with good gaming features laptop. i7-gen 6 and above GTX965M should not be the problem, and 1TB+SSD also be obtained. If you're seeking a long-term use laptop, I'd recommend big brands with Gaming series, such as MSI, ROG. The link is for your reference.
