Laptop for programming - Brand?

I want to buy a new laptop but I haven’t decide if what brand and specs. I want one that is good for programming and photo editing. Suggestions are well appreciated. (Except MAC)

Budget? The programming not so much resource wise, for video editing will want a strong CPU, GPU and plenty of DRAM

Depends on your budget frankly speaking, for around $900-1000 there are good laptops with 16gb DDR4, i7-6700HQ and gtx 960m which will be more than enough for all you require.

I'd be looking at Asus and Lenovo to start
