Laptop for school and games

Hi, I want to get a new laptop for college which can also play games like The Sims 3 without melting down. I'd like something fairly light weight but it does not have to be a 2 in 1 and I'd like to keep it under $800.

What kind of graphics card/ processor should I be looking for?
