Laptop for work

Hi I'm looking to buy a laptop for university work, I have a budget of £750.

I'm open to any suggestions and advice, thankyou.

Any other uses other than what seems to be normal internet use? Detachable or a regular “clamshell” laptop? Since you mentioned you were at a university, what field are you in?

The laptop will be used for everyday things you would expect e.g streaming videos, browsing the internet and such.
As for as university work goes it's literally just as far as working with normal documents such as Microsoft Word / Excel etc.
I'm looking for a regular laptop rather than detachable.

You don’t really need an expensive laptop to do what you require of it. Heck, you could get a cheap chrome book if you were willing to swap out Microsoft office for its google equivalents. I found this one for around $550 and with a 7th gen i5 (last year) and 1 Tb of storage, you should be fine.
