laptop gives 1 long beep and 1 short beep

what does a 1 long beep and a short beep followed by a click sound mean? but even after this beep sound my lappy is working fine...

Beep codes are MB related. What is the MB ? What is the brand /model of Laptop ? If it is working fine then nothing to worry.

You need to provide more information about the system (such as make and model) for people to be able to help you with beep codes. lonewolf is correct: beep codes are generated to notify a person of a hardware malfunction. Beep codes vary from system to system, however.

You can also contact the technical support of your laptop manufacturer, or look for a user's manual (often a free PDF file for download) and reference that.
