Hi all,
I need help I payed for a laptop with a I5 3210M 2.5GHz and a Nvidea 650m 2GB.
The thing is when I play skyrim on high it gets really hot I have a cooler underneath but I don't know what to do. I put GPU temp on and asked it to beep when it reached a certain Temp and it did 90C. This also happend on Med setting????
Please help

Yes, laptops generally run much hotter than a desktop when running the same application/game at the same settings.

yea the reason its getting so hot is because the air has no way to escape in a case so small... my friend with an alienware mx14 or something (which has 2 fans at the bottom to keep it cool) has had is cpu get so hot that the computer shut down. That was just after 2-3 hours of us playing battlefield 3 together.

try to keep your gpu around 80C. If it gets too hot your computer will (should) shut down automatically. You should get a laptop cooler to keep the temps down, because its not good to have your cpu and gpu running so hot for extended periods of time
