Laptop High Pitch

Laptop has loud squelch when turned on. Screen will not come on. Has never been dropped. Hardly used. What happened?

Hi,

Do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in resolving the issue.
- Do a hard reset first, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then try to boot the laptop.
- If the laptop will not boot up still, boot it up without the battery and see if it will work.
- If that will not solve the problem do reseat the RAM, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure that they are seated properly into each slot.
- Lastly try to remove the HDD and see if it will boot up without the squealing sound.
- If all these will not work do contact the manufacturer for a repair if it's still under the factory warranty.
