hello everyone, I am having a very strange problem and I cant seem to find a solution to fix it. I just received my msi gx70 laptop. it came with a hdd that I didn't order, but that's not the problem. I removed the hdd and replaced it with a ssd and hdd that I bought separately. now the problem is, as soon as I turned it on, it set up windows 8, which should not have been possible since there are 2 empty drives in there. I am currently writing this post on the laptop right now, which should not be possible. I tried to install win7 (the upgrade way, not clean installation), and I told me that I need a partition with free space to load temporary files. the bios does not detect my ssd or hdd but it insists that the old hdd is still inside. the old hdd is 750 gb, I ordered a 120 gb ssd and 1tb hdd. disk management and my computer also say I have a 750 gb hdd installed. I cannot install win 7 from bios, I am not sure why. I have changed the boot menu with no success. I have tried installing from dvd and from flash drive and both attempts have been unsuccessful. I don't know what to do and any help is very much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Edit: I've been able to finally boot from my win7 DVD by switching the bios from uefi to
legacy, however, I still cannot install it because the use that is "in there has a gpt partition table. I'm not sure why this would be an issue. I figured that the bios is looking for got partitioned hdds but since the two I put in are not even formatted yet, it can't detect them, but that doesn't make much sense either.

for those that may have an issue similar to this in the future, i will post up my method if fixing this issue. i disabled secure boot in the bios and switched uefi mode to legacy. i was then able to install win7 on my ssd. as to how the laptop was able to do what it did, i'm not sure, but it detects both of my storage drives perfectly now.
