Laptop keeps freezing and blue screening

Hi,

I currently have a TOSHIBA Satellite U840 that I've had for a little over a year, just out of warranty. Last week, I started getting blue screens almost immediately after plugging in my charger and randomly, usually within an hour or two. I figured out that it was definitely MY charger was a cause since using my friend's charger didn't give me an immediate blue screen. However I've still been getting the random blue screens without the charger which leads me to believe there must be another reason.

Could someone please help me out?

Could someone please help me out?may help if your take out the memory from the back of the laptop if you have one (if note try boot in safe mode first when your press power button hiting F8 takes you to safe mode meniu)

Could the charger be defective? Too little voltage supply? Have you tried a higher wattage charger? Are there any messages regarding your battery and/or charger?
