laptop keeps on turning off

hi guys. i have an hp elitebook 8440p laptop and it keeps on turning off when it is hot. I check and cleaned the vents still the same then i check the fan if it is working and i think it is busted. is there anything else that i need to check?

If the fan is broken, and not working, then that would cause your overheating. You would need to replace it a.s.a.p. before other damage is done to the other components in there due to the overheating. You should not run a laptop that doesn't have a working fan(s).

Replace the fan, or get someone to do it for you.

thanks for the reply. I am still waiting for the replacemwnt fan to arrive. btw, have you seen the video? is the fan really is not working or there is something else? thanks again.

No that fan isn't working. It would be spinning and that is just wiggling.
