Hello! A couple of days ago I spilled cereal on my laptop and the screen went black and stopped working. I freaked out and didn't know what to do so I tried wiping it off then got advice to put in rice. I didn't know that I had to turn the laptop off at first so I think the motherboard might have gotten fried in that time it was on

Anyway I turned the laptop off after a while, and today when I turned it on it actually started working and the screen wasn't black so I thought it was all okay

But then When I started typing, the letters would come out differently

For example "D" would be "FSDA" and "Q" would be RWQEU and some letters weren't even working. What's wrong with it? Is it possible that the motherboard is fried or?
I'm using a Dell laptop and windows 7.

You probably damaged the motherboard the keyboard or both. If it is just the keyboard though you may be able to replace it. You could also try to use a usb keyboard.
