Laptop Memory Undervolt?

hi, so my gf has an hp laptop with ddr3l memory slots and she wanted me to add ram to it. silly me at the time decided I would just throw in ddr3 like it didn’t matter and now she has random shutdowns. i figure, its probably because of voltage so could I just undervolt the ddr3 to 1.35 volts?

only if the laptop give you that option. likely won't have that option
