Laptop not coming up

My Laptop is not getting on.Was shutdown normally but not coming up after that.I tried removing the battery and tried to run direct but no help.

Sorry I require a bit of clarification does anything show on the screen (Bios etc / make any beeps ) and the OS fail to load (Then it goes black) or does the screen remain constantly black no matter what you do.

nothing ..just like dead..the lights also does not on and no voice.laptop is Dell Inspiron 1545.

someone told me to remove the RAM and put it back and then try to restart..that also doesn't work
