Solved! Laptop not connecting to external monitor!!! PLZ HELP!!!!!

I have a laptop that screen is broken, been connecting it to external monitor and was fine, I was trying to fix a Java error and reinstall graphics Driver. All was fine it reverted back to stock Driver and was downloading the new updated Driver when laptop died. Now I start it backup and I can't connect to external monitor or my HDTV which I did before also. None of the known keystrokes to project it to another monitor is working I normally don't need help with tech but this one I'm stumped?!?! HELP!!!!

Disconnect the cable from the MB to the laptop's dead screen. Now boot it up ... this should force it to use the external monitor.

disconnect MotherBoard to the laptop's dead screen =not sure what you mean?
you mean disconnect MB cable that connects laptop to the laptop monitor (dead screen yes) to force boot? weant to double check to make sure i understand thats what you mean?!

yes ... that's exactly what i mean. It's probably easiest to disconnect the cable where it connects to the screen. then connect the external monitor and boot up.
