Laptop not connecting to the internet

My laptop is not connecting to the internet and when I trouble shoot it it says that the driver needs to be updated but when I go to update the driver it says it is already updated. How do I get my computer to connect to the internet? My laptop is Windows 8.1

Try this... Uninstall the driver(s), reboot the computer and then reinstall the driver(s).

If that doesn't work, it may not be the drivers at all.
