Laptop not recognizing USB mouse

my Lenovo laptop will not recognize any USB mouse I try to use. it was working a week ago, but has since been unable to use.

Hi,

Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the USB driver?
- Start by uninstalling the USB driver from Device Manager.
- Once uninstalled, reboot the laptop and it should reinstall the driver automatically.
- If it will not reinstall, download and install the latest driver from the manufacturers site.
- Also do run Windows Update and install all update available.
- If all these will not work I would also suggest running System Restore, restore it back to an earlier date or time before the problem even happened.
- And your last resort would be resetting the laptop back to factory.
