laptop processor upgradation

Is it possible to upgrade samsung RV509-A08IN's pentium p6100 to core i3 processor ?

That is not the chipset you listed, that is just the SATA controller for the hard drive and DVD player.

This site lists the CPUs in the same socket as the Pentium p6100 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_G1 but if your laptop will work with any of those you have to check with the laptop vendor, sometimes the BIOS version notes list the supported CPUs.

Actually i3 350 m is working perfectly.,will it affect adversely after some time?

I searched for cpu upgrade options with this laptop with samsung site and others, even tried finding units for sale with a upgraded cpu , but nothing. so confirmation is not easy at all. Wiki has that list of cpu's that fit socket g1/988 they seem to have all the correct specs but unless i can find a bios/cpu compatibility list for that machine i won't say yes for sure. Being a laptop and the pain of trying a cpu in one, i understand you would want confirmation. Samsung reps may need to be questioned
