hi. my laptop is randomly shutting down when its not plugged in to an outlet. one time it just shut off when the battery was at 30% and another time it shut off at 50%. when its pluuged in it never happens. what is going on?

thanks!

most probably your battery is dying and needs to be replaced. make sure when on battery always use a battery saver energy profile and not a max performance one. when under a/c power and the battery fully charged better have it removed for it to last longer.

this battery is fairly new (about 1-2 months). My old one was at 50% wear level so i bought a new one. Batteryinfoview still shows it at 100% wear level. Can there be any other possible reason for the random shutdown?

well that is milliwatt per hour and although an authentic one it may be from another model less power hungry than yours thats why it fails randomly when under load. you need the exact mw/h and volt battery to perform as it should under load
